Although we greatly appreciate everyone who wants to donate to the ReStores, we aren’t able to accept some items because of safety concerns or low turnover. When we accept items that we cannot sell, we incur high dumpster fees, which reduces the money available to support our mission.

Household Items

  • Particle board desk/entertainment centers
  • Furniture/Mattresses that are torn/stained
  • Blinds and window treatments with cords
  • Hospital beds
  • Paint
  • Pianos
  • Clothing, bed linens, and curtains
  • Dishes
  • Knick Knacks

Appliances/Electronics

  • Used gas appliances
  • CRT computer monitors
  • Printers
  • Tube TVs
  • Flurousent lights
  • Any light bulbs

Plumbing

  • Cast iron Bathtubs (only cast iron we can accept is clawfoot and easily accessible)
  • Shower doors
  • Garbage disposals, unless new

Miscellaneous Items

  • Hazardous materials (solvents, strippers, oil based items, anti-freeze)
  • Infant car seats, cribs, strollers, toys (ABSOLUTELY NO TOYS) – games are fine
  • Moldy materials
  • Office cubicles
